The Outsiders Athlete Program is an initiative of The Elevation Fund, created to support athletes with opportunities that arise in our network.

The Elevation Fund is The Outsiders’ long-term commitment to supporting the next generation of outdoor talent across action sport and the creatives who tell their stories.

We reinvest 1% of our annual revenue directly back into emerging talent — providing project funding, mentorship, gear, grants, industry opportunities and targeted funding. We also raise further funding and opportunities from our partners. Quarterly Impact Reports can be found here. The Fund is guided by a clear funding mandate focused on:

• Athlete film funding, commercial opportunities and industry connections

• Creative development and mentorship

• Grassroots event funding

At The Outsiders, we pitch hundreds of brands. Along the way, we hear about commercial opportunities that could be relevant to athletes in our network. The Outsiders Athlete Program gives us a way to share those opportunities directly with athletes. We are not managing talent or representing anyone, we are sharing opportunities and connecting dots and people as it arises and makes sense.

That might be a brand partnership, ambassador opening, resort or destination collaboration, film project, film funding, content opportunity, UGC engagements, camp or coaching opportunity, or anything relevant that comes our way.

We’ll also be dedicating specific effort to creating brand and commercial opportunities for athletes interested in commercial opportunities in Japan, connecting athletes in our network with Japanese brands and businesses.
